Tom Davis is having a busy schedule for October 2026. The comedian and actor is fronting BBC One’s new family sitcom The Reluctant Vampire, which will start airing on 4 October.
His Spudgun stand-up tour also continues, with extra dates added into autumn 2027.
The Reluctant Vampire: Davis’s New BBC One Role
The six-part series is based on Eric Morecambe’s 1982 children’s novel and is written by Neil and Rob Gibbons.
In the show, Davis plays the role of Victor, a proud vampire patriarch living in a gothic castle near an English village. Lenny Rush plays his son Val, a teenage heir who discovers he is actually human and struggles to meet his father’s traditional expectations.
The cast for the show also includes Sian Clifford, Charlie Cooper, Asim Chaudhry, Joe Wilkinson, Bill Bailey and Ross Noble.
Episodes are available on BBC iPlayer. Davis has said the scripts were easy to choose for him and that he likes the idea of family viewing.
Spudgun Tour: Remaining 2026 Dates and 2027 Extension
Spudgun was announced back in July 2025 and opened in Sheffield on 24 January 2026.
It follows his debut tour, Underdog, which sold more than 70,000 tickets and became a Sky special. The new show is all about his fresh takes on life’s hot topics.
Some dates for the upcoming show are listed as sold out or low on tickets. The 2027 leg runs through the spring and summer into autumn.
In the list, shows include Hastings White Rock Theatre (23 May), Southampton Central Hall (18 June), Swindon Wyvern Theatre (10 September) and Aberdeen Tivoli Theatre (19 September).
Interviews and Podcasts
Davis has also been doing the media rounds. On 6 October, he appeared on Gabby Logan’s Life at the Midpoint, discussing imposter syndrome and fatherhood.
In September, he joined That Peter Crouch Podcast, where he talked about how he started stand-up at 32, his scaffolding days and his love of West Ham.
In a Telegraph interview around the premiere, he spoke about how he was giving up alcohol.
What’s Next for Tom Davis?
Davis said that he would be appearing in Guy Ritchie’s thriller Wife & Dog alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Anthony Hopkins.
There are also reports of him joining the cast of Apple TV’s The Choir. However, since these details came from a single source, both should be treated as unconfirmed until official announcements.
He’s still widely recognized for his roles in King Gary and Murder in Successville, and for co-hosting the Wolf and Owl podcast with Romesh Ranganathan.
